Who looks after Decatur's IT here

This site is run by Sentry Cloud IT, an Alpharetta firm that provides managed IT and cybersecurity to Georgia organizations.

The company behind this site

For over 25 years, Sentry Cloud IT has kept technology running for offices around metro Atlanta. Our engineers handle the networks, laptops, cloud accounts, security tools and backups of organizations that depend on them but would rather not hire a full-time IT staff. This site describes how we work with offices in Decatur and the surrounding parts of DeKalb County.

Decatur has a particular mix. Small health and counseling practices sit near nonprofits, law offices near the courthouse, design studios and independent shops. Many have fewer than 20 people, and many handle information that has to stay private. We built our approach around that kind of organization: careful with data, sensible about cost and honest about what actually needs doing.

How we work

  • One team for all of it. The same people handle help desk, security, cloud and backup, so nothing gets lost between vendors.
  • A fixed monthly price after a review. You know the cost before you sign anything.
  • Plain English. We explain what we are doing and why, in terms a practice owner, office manager or executive director can act on.
  • Your documentation, in your hands. Passwords, network notes and vendor details are written down and available to you. They don't live in one technician's head.
  • Right-sized advice. A two-person practice doesn't need what a 70-person firm needs. We recommend what fits and say so when something can wait.

Where we are

There is no Decatur branch. Our only office is 1040 Cambridge Square, Suite A, Alpharetta, GA 30009, and engineers head south from there for on-site work around the Square, Oakhurst, North Decatur, Avondale Estates and nearby neighborhoods, and most everyday support is handled remotely. The phone number is (678) 437-1368.

The first conversation

Every new inquiry is answered by a senior engineer within one business day. The first conversation is about your people, your software and what is bothering you. There is no pressure to sign, and if we think you don't need us, we will say so. Bring a list of the things that annoy your staff most. It is usually the fastest way to find what needs fixing first.

See where your IT stands before something forces the question

A review takes about an hour of your time. You get a plain written summary of your security, backups and support gaps, and it is yours to keep whether or not we work together.
